How usage is billed
Pro has a $19 monthly platform fee and then charges according to the relevant product's usage after its included allowance. Rates are volume-based and tiered, so the effective rate can decline with consumption. Check the product calculator for the workload units you expect to generate.

Cost drivers to review
For metrics, model active series after the 10k monthly Pro allowance.
For logs, separate the processing, write, and retention operations rather than treating them as one generic GB charge.

Grafana Cloud is a fit when its published allowances and retention meet the workload. For a production rollout, inventory metrics series, log operations, and AI token use first; those measurements determine the usage portion of a Pro bill. Choose Enterprise when its stated security, compliance, support, retention, or deployment options are requirements.
